Our psychologists

The people
you will meet.

A practice small enough that you will always know who you are talking to. Mathew and Lloyd are both registered psychologists, and you see the same one each session, building on your work rather than starting over.

Both registered with AHPRA, the national board for psychologists.

Care that remembers your story

We kept the practice small on purpose. It is the difference between being a case and being a person someone actually knows.

See the same psychologist

You build on your work week to week with one person who knows your history, never starting over with someone new.

Evidence-based, tailored to you

We draw on approaches with strong research support, and choose and adjust them with you rather than applying a fixed formula.

Telehealth, Australia-wide

Every session is by secure video, so you can meet us from the city, the suburbs, or a rural or remote community.

The approaches we draw on

We choose the approach with you, and adjust it as your work together unfolds. These are the main frameworks behind that work.

CBT

Cognitive behavioural therapy

A practical, structured look at the links between thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. CBT is widely used and recommended as a first-line psychological treatment for anxiety and depression.

ACT

Acceptance and commitment therapy

Builds psychological flexibility: making room for difficult thoughts and feelings, while taking steps toward what genuinely matters to you.

EMDR

Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing

A structured therapy that helps the mind process distressing memories. EMDR is recognised in clinical guidelines for the treatment of trauma.

Schema

Schema therapy

Works with longstanding patterns formed earlier in life, and how they show up in relationships and self-image today. Often used when the same difficulties keep returning.

DBT

Dialectical behaviour therapy skills

Practical skills for managing strong emotions, tolerating distress, and communicating clearly, drawn from DBT and taught at a pace that suits you.

Supportive

Supportive therapy

Steady, collaborative support focused on listening, understanding, and helping you make sense of what is happening, when being heard matters most.

Approaches are selected for you, not applied to a formula, and individual experiences vary. Therapy tends to work best when it is matched to the person and the concern, which is something Mathew or Lloyd will talk through with you before you begin.
