1. Introduction and acceptance
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.
These terms apply to your use of the website. Where you become a client of THPA, your engagement of our psychological services is also governed by the consent and service agreement documents we provide to you before your first session. If there is any inconsistency between those documents and these terms in relation to clinical services, the consent and service agreement documents apply.
2. About this website (general information only)
The information on this website is general in nature. It is provided for information only and is not a substitute for personalised advice from a qualified health practitioner. You should not rely on the content of this website as a diagnosis or as treatment advice for your individual circumstances.
Using this website, contacting us, or making a booking does not create a practitioner and client relationship on its own. That relationship begins only once you have completed our intake process and attended an appointment.
This website is not a crisis or emergency service. We do not monitor the website or our inbox in real time and we cannot respond to urgent or after-hours messages. If you are in immediate danger, call 000. The crisis support lines listed in the footer of this page are available 24 hours a day.
3. Bookings, fees and payment
Our fees are GST-free and are published on our website. The fees that apply to you are the fees published at the time of your booking.
- Standard session (approximately 50 minutes): $230.
- Medicare rebate (registered psychologist, with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP): $101.55. Typical out-of-pocket cost: $128.45.
- NDIS: $252.99 per hour.
- WorkCover Queensland: $277 per session, subject to insurer or case manager approval.
Bookings are managed through Halaxy, our practice management system. Halaxy is our primary billing system. Where you pay by card, payment may be processed through Stripe. Payment terms, including when payment is due and how rebates are processed, are set out in the financial information we provide to you before your first session. We may update our fees from time to time. Any change to our fees will be reflected on the website and will apply to bookings made after the change.
4. Cancellations and missed appointments
We ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to change or cancel an appointment, so that the time can be offered to someone else.
- Standard cancellation notice: at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- NDIS participants: at least 2 clear business days, in line with the NDIS Pricing Schedule.
- Where notice is not given, a late cancellation or missed appointment may be charged the full session fee. For NDIS participants, up to 90% of the session fee may be charged, in line with NDIS rules.
- Genuine emergencies and technology failures are handled with discretion.
The full cancellation terms that apply to you are set out in the service agreement you receive before your first session.
5. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and the Telehealth Psychology Australia and THPA names and branding, is owned by or licensed to Telehealth Psychology Australia Pty Ltd and is protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws.

This website uses third-party tools and may contain links to third-party websites.
- Halaxy is the practice management and billing platform we use for bookings, telehealth sessions, and clinical records.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
This clause does not limit or affect the professional obligations we owe to you as Registered Psychologists, or your rights under the consent and service agreement documents that govern our clinical services.
8. Privacy
We handle your personal and health information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your information, and how you can access or correct it.
9. Governing law
